The house was quiet, and deserted. Ray had been handed a fistful of money and told to go away for the night. Anders was off doing ...something or someone. Ella was staying the night with Lil and Carrie.

Jason had been in a mood all day. Quiet but watching, almost like he was stalking something. Or someone. He'd disappeared several times, only to show back up with a small secretive smile in answer to any questions.

Once the girls had left, Jason literally prowled through the house, searching for Gabe.
