Jason makes a few phone calls, mostly to check up on Lil and the girls. His last call is to Leela, to make sure that she made it home okay. He gets her voicemail on her cellphone, then calls her house phone to leave a message.

"Hey, Leela. I know we haven't talked in a while, but I wanted to check up on you..."

Just then the phone is picked up, and a quiet still voice answers. "Jason? Jason, do you have Lil and Tam and Deacon's and Tonks numbers and all? He broke my.. my cell phone got broken and.. " The voice breaks off to silence.

"I'm ok. I'm .. I'm fine."

The growl Jason makes can probably be heard over the phone.

"Who broke your phone, Leela? What the fuck happened?"

She holds her hand over her mouth, trying to breathe deep, to hold back the tears.

"My personal.. that is Mori. We had an argument, another one. I just wanted to get away but he smashed my cell phone and then did something.. dunno what. But he used his powers and slammed me into the wall, held me there... hate hate HATE being held against my will.

There's silence for a bit, then Jason's voice very low and quiet. "Where is he now?"

I don't know. He accused me of breaking his heart and I'm sorry I never knew he felt like that, I really didn't and I love Deacon and.. he just let me go and was gone." Siilence for a bit more and she breathes deeply. "He's not in the house, I've checked."

"What happened, Leela... you know what, nevermind. It doesn't matter. The fucker had no right to do what he did."

"Jason, I came home and he was in my room and I was not in the mood to hear him slam on Deacon again so I was trying to ignore him and get the hell out."

"But he smashed my phone and now I don't even remember Tom's babysitter's number and I don't know how to get ahold of her and he .. he scared me." It takes a lot for her to admit that, and she wouldnt' do it to just anyone. But Jason is her brother.

"He was in your room? Why was he in there? Did you give him permission to be there?"

Jason, he's my personal assistant. He works for me." A slight sob. "His bedroom is next to my private study so that if I had to be woken and fly out in the middle of the night he'd have everything ready. I keep late nights and screwed up hours sometimes."

"There's a big difference between waking you in the night and being in your bedroom when you're not home." There's sound of movement, then the phone hanging up and Jason's voice coming from nearby. Next thing, Jason is hugging her.

"There are some things not even the hired help should do."

"Jason" And she was hugging him, holding him close and crying into his shirt. "But but.. I thought he was a friend, Jason. Hired him to give him a chance and I thought we were friends."

"I need the pard numbers again, because I forgot them and I didn't mean .. "

Jason hugs her tight, hand stroking her hair as he looks around. He sees the marks on the wall, the scorched fist print, and growls.

"I'll get the numbers for you, just hold on. I need to make a phone call." Jason pulls away and opens his phone, making a quick hushed call.

Well, not truly hushed. He only speaks one word 'Zoe', and then there's a lot of nodding. Shortly after, he hangs up and hands the phone to her. "Write down all the numbers you need, I'll be right back, okay?"

He doesn't wait for her answer, he just pinpoints out.

She holds the phone as he leaves, watches until he pinpoints away. Then she gets paper and slowly, one by one writes down the numbers to the pard house and outlying homes. To Hippolytas, and Reno, and even the local cab and pizza place.

Jason returns a few moments later, a bracelet and a small box in his hands. He hands her the bracelet and sets the box on her dresser.

"Put the bracelet on. Next, open the box and take out the shell inside. Make sure you're thinking of Mori when you take it out. It'll make sure he can't come on the grounds as long as the shell is out of the box."

She does exactly what he tells her, one step at a time. The bracelet fits close, small bells and beads that gleam in the light. Then, turning her back she picks up the box and takes out the shell. Leela holds it in her hand, thinking about the huge angry fire mage.

From there she places the seashell out on her dresser. Turning back, she looks to her her brother.

"All done. Jason? Am I going too far with this? I mean, what if it never happens again and he just lost control this one time and stuff?" Confused, she asks his opinion.

"Done."

"Leela, he threw you at the wall. Look at that fucking mark on the wall. What if he had touched you when his hand had been like that."

He grabs hold of her wrist, running his thumb over the bracelet. "You're the only one who can remove this. If someone harms you, the person it is tied to will come to your side. That shell cannot be removed by anyone but you and the person who it is tied to. And that bastard, is going down."

She looks up then swiftly away, not wanting to look at all.

"I see it. And I'm not condoning it, it's just that *sigh* Oh I don't know."

"Ok bro. I understand." Leela looked at the bracelet where he touched it, and ran her fingers over the spot his had been.

"Do I want to know who this person is or will it be a surprise?

That makes Jason flinch and he looks away. "You won't like who it is."
