There was one very exhausted werewolf sprawled out on the bed in the master bedroom. He'd spent most of the day either chasing Ella around or trying to help decorate the house. He had no idea what set Lil off and made her want to turn the entire place into a winter wonderland, but it had worn him out.

Or that was what he was going to tell everyone. No way was he going to admit that spending four hours entertaining Ella had tired him out. Of course, he wasn't so tired that the thought of pulling out some paintball guns wasn't entertaining, but he'd just wrapped them and wasn't going to go digging in the hiding spot for them.

Instead he was going to lay here and pretend to be dead and hope Lil took pity on him.

Groaning, she tried to bite back the sound. "How... how are you?"

Jason sighs and shrugs, lifting his head to nuzzle at her cheek. "Itchy, sometimes sore and I still have dead spots. It'll be better in another week or so."

"I... I thought you guys healed really fast,' she whispered, tensing because she regretted asking.

Jason grins, tickling her a bit. "We do, but nerves are tricky little bitches. They like to lag behind."

Laughing, she batted at his hand. "Hurry up,' she hollered at his chest as if it would listen.

Rolling his eyes, he kisses her again. "Trying, babe."

Cuddling in close, she kissed him. "I love you."

He nuzzles her cheek, smiling. "Love you too, babe."

She was quiet for a long time before lightly nipping his chin. "So, uhmm, how is Gabe doing?'

Jason sighs, curling up next to her. "He's Gabe. He says everything is fine, pretends everything is fine, even when it's not. I think he's starting to do a little better though."

She stared at him, eyes almost closed but she was watching him the entire time. "Do you think he'll ever get his memory back?"

Shaking his head, Jason runs his hand over stomach, needing touch right now. "I doubt it. Most of the time, with temporary amnesia, people experience deja vu. With Gabe, there's no recognition at all."

Arching, she presses into his touch but not needily. Just learned in the ways of pard. "I was really worried about that. With the four of us."

Jason grins, rolling his eyes. "He adjusted to the relationship with Lil well enough."

Carrie laughed. "Did they let you leave the room?"

"I showed up afterwards. It's one of the few things I remember from when I was doing the warlod possession thing."

She can't help but laugh at that. "I... As with the christmas thing? I avoided that was well."

He grins and pokes her in the ribs. "What? You didn't want to get conquered by an ancient greek?"

Squirming, Carrie grins more. "Uhmmm, no. Pretend, sure. But real? They smelled and were cruel."

Jason blinks and stares at her with sad puppy eyes. "I smelled?"
