Jason roars through the desert on his gift from Reno. A Shrina Special Motorcycle. After several hours of enjoying the speed and freedom, he heads back to the apartment.

After parking the bike in the garage and cleaning it up, he heads upstairs to the apartment. Once inside, he throws his helmet on a chair and heads for the kitchen to get a bottle of water.

Sennyo slips quietly from his room, hearing voices. He curls up in a corner of the couch and sits there, watching the room from behind his knees and shaking visibly.

Nathaniel comes out and curls up with Sennyo, holding him tight.

Nate shakes his head. "It wasn't you! He's mad at me, that's why he went. He'll be back."

He doesn't love me. I'm not - interesting enough - to keep his attention. He doesn't want to be with me, or - he'd have said something. Wouldn't have pulled away from me.

Because I called him while you were asleep. We talked it out a bit, and it's not you he's mad out. He was feeling left out after I told him to stop biting me. That's why he left.

Nathaniel holds Sennyo close, suddenly feeling very small and unworthy.

"He'll be here soon."

Sennyo clings to him as though his life depended on it. "You won't go? You won't leave me?"

He kisses Sennyo's head. "No love, I'll stay by you until he gets back, promise."

He makes a pained sound. "Not after? You won't stay forever?"
