Jason stands in the middle of his room, looking at his closet, very upset. "What was I thinking to wear this crap? And this room. I need a manservant."

Yet even as he still teases, Gabriel guides him to the bed, helping him down onto it.
"It's going to be slow, pup. First thing you have to accept. Two? You need pack. Find one. Make one. Fake one. You can't do it alone, kid. Accept that."
Dropping down beside him, leaning forward to rest his elbows on his knees.
"Either literally. Like what I've been talkin' about with Scud and Leela or... Like I said. Fake it. Pard is about the connection. Sure, ya need others with a beast. One to touch yers. But you... You don't need all shifters, Jason."
Laughing, pretty sure the sound wasn't nervous but not looking at Jason just the same.
"As if it would get me anywhere."
Silent, still staring at the floor a moment.
"If it means not seeing a repeat of last night? Maybe. If it means banging you against the headboard more? Sure. But it's not about all this shit you and Nathaniel think it is."
