Jason moves through the bedroom, packing. All of Lil's stuff sits in a duffel bag on his floor, and anything that isn't already boxed up is on his bed.

Now he just needs to figure out where he's going.

Jason's phone starts ringing, signifying Ether's call.

"Yeah?"

"This is Ether. You asked me to call."

"I'm not going to ask why, because I already know. What I am going to say is 'get in line'."

"You too, huh?"

The voice is only a little bit surprised, and then followed by a soft chuckle.

"Well, I told her I won't kill him. Never promised to not teach him a lesson."

"Leela, then me, then Gabe himself. If by chance, he hasn't put a bullet in his own fucking head, you can have it him.

If Leela says yes."

Jason pauses, closing his eyes.

"You'd just be one more in a very long list of people who have tried. Little bit of info for you. Gabriel is a sadomasochist. He doesn't give a shit about you so he'll probably end up getting off on whatever you do.

Leela and I? What's the saying, 'It only hurts when it's someone you love'?"

Ether rolls his eyes, a loud, annoyed groan escaping his lips.

"Great... Just fucking great. Like dealing with a pain junkie was the thing I needed today." - A sigh, this time - slow and annoyed. - "...So what the fuck should we do about him, then?"

"Like I said, it's Leela's call. And if she can't do it, I will. You, are not part of the equation. And don't get pissy with me on this, you wouldn't like it if we showed up in your world and starting pushing our rules on you, would you? This is pard business, it will be taken care of."

"Wrong, Jason - it was pard business until he went feral. Now, it's personal." - He sighs slightly, frustrated. - "...But fine. I'll let you deal with this as a family thing this time around. But only this time. If something like this happens again..." - His voice suddenly grows harsher and sharper than before. - "...There will be no pard business. There will be scorched corpses of everyone guilty and a big silver cross that reads "Ether was here". Am I understood?"

"Fine, whatever. Hell, I'm blaming all of this on Satan anyway, the fucking bitch."

"Oh, I'm ready to take on all of them..." - He smirks slightly, a soft 'hmph' escaping his lips. - "Gabriel, Satan, Raina... I don't care. Had a nice teacher on dealing with all of them."

"I'm not saying they're all on the same side, I'm saying they're all part of the same package." - A short pause as he considers his next word. - "Or are you planning to tell me the part of the story that pushed Gabriel to doing this?"

"Sorry, I just find it a little odd that the three people who know the most about Raina and her weaknesses and have the most to gain from her death suddenly have their lives completely fucked up and destroyed after two of them get into an argument with one of Raina's biggest supporters."

"Hmmmm... I see what you mean. Not like it makes Gabriel any less guilty." - He pauses for a moment, tapping on the floor. - "...Are you trying to imply that you've finally decided to bite back?"

"There are always things to plan, Jason. The more time I have, the more weaponry I bring." - A short pause, before he adds. - "And also, there is my friend to talk to. She's Death, for god's sake - I can't just walk up to her and say 'Let's go kill werewolves.'."

"Death. Grim Reaper. A beautiful woman with a big-ass scythe that harvests the souls of the dead after their time's up. What's there to not understand?"

"Well, I knew a few different Deaths. Like that Edward guy. And then the Endless Death. And then there's George... This IS the nexus, after all."

"This one's name's Cronus - my world's Death. Also, the best friend I ever had in my lifetime." - He chuckles coldly. - "When I said I had a capable teacher, I meant that."

Look, I'll call you when this goes down. I may not be able to give you as much warning as you want, but I'll try."
