He takes up a place on Gabriel's far side, bundling in close to the other were as comfortingly as he can. He hasn't been in this kind of position many times in his life.

Murmured so softly, snuggling back against Scud.

Scud nestles against him, warm and solid and making a quiet, soothing purr deep in his chest.

Watches and waits until Gabriel is fully asleep. He takes Gabriel's cellphone off the nightstand and looks over at Scud.

"I need to walk, kill something, anything..."

Hands him Gabriel's phone.

"Number two is my phone. Call me the second it looks like he's going to wake up, please."

Scud takes the phone and nods. He's not going anywhere.

Grins and nods back, standing up.

"Going to go break something we won't have to replace."

Turns and leaves.

Is instantly by Gabriel's side, petting his hair.

"Shh, I said I wouldn't do it without telling you. It'll help you sleep without nightmares and you need that. I'm not leaving you."

"Scared. Scared to sleep. You're here. Need you.'

Whimpering softly.

"Sleep here? Please? I'll.. I'll take it."

Leans over, kissing Gabriel softly.

"You'll sleep, but no dreams, no nightmares. I promise."

Pulls away and goes to the bathroom, coming back with what looks like a plain glass of water.

"I'll be here, I promise."

Drinking, grimacing slightly.

"Tasted better with beer." Drifts out.

"I love you, Jason."
