Party Time

Jason finishes moving the couch out of the way and steps back. The food is ready, the bar is cleared for the people bringing alcohol and the 'No Violence' wards are in place. He nods and then opens the door, propping it open with a large red rock that vaguely resembles two people fucking.

"Why did you do that?" Nathaniel asks, his voice low, but rough.

Jason turns to him and grins. "Do you want to spend all night answering the door?"

Nathaniel shakes his head, his long braid waving slightly. "No. I'm going to stay right here, out of the way."

Jason walks over and gives Nathaniel a quick hug. "Promise me you'll at least try to stay in human form for the night?"

Nathaniel nods, goes back to reading the book in his hands. Jason just shakes his head and goes to the kitchen to get a drink.

I - think so? I've - never been to a party before. *Blushes slightly* Never been around this many people before, all at once.

Kept? No. I just - never really socialized. I was happy in my forest. Till - Till recently. *Eyes get a little glazed-looking, and he smiles*

*Smiles shyly.* M - Maybe, but - I haven't been socializing long enough that I don't still stutter around strangers so much I can hardly talk at all. It - is sometimes easier to just not talk, and then I'm not - enjoying the party, right?

Jack shakes his head. "It is a matter of telling yourself that you are confident, and then being so. Even if it is only for a short time. Now, for instance. Do I pose any threat or discomfort to you?"

*He giggles softly.* A little, yes. But you came with Leela, and - well - you're the only one who has bothered talking to me for more than a few minutes. I - guess I'm lonely. Pietro was going to come with me, but - he had to work, and then his sister - had a problem he needed to help her with.

He nods, gesturing to a nearby pair of chairs "It is a pity, perhaps they can catch up with you later tonight?"
