Party Time

Jason finishes moving the couch out of the way and steps back. The food is ready, the bar is cleared for the people bringing alcohol and the 'No Violence' wards are in place. He nods and then opens the door, propping it open with a large red rock that vaguely resembles two people fucking.

"Why did you do that?" Nathaniel asks, his voice low, but rough.

Jason turns to him and grins. "Do you want to spend all night answering the door?"

Nathaniel shakes his head, his long braid waving slightly. "No. I'm going to stay right here, out of the way."

Jason walks over and gives Nathaniel a quick hug. "Promise me you'll at least try to stay in human form for the night?"

Nathaniel nods, goes back to reading the book in his hands. Jason just shakes his head and goes to the kitchen to get a drink.



((Party's on. Come on in, the door is open. Same wards that are on Greg's apartment.))

"What you were expecting? Perhaps I did draw a little heavy on the debauchery part. In my defense though, the night is still young"

Laughing "I suspected as much."

"Again. I think I'd rather have you say something along the lines of 'now that was a quiet party' rather than 'omigod those people are depraved'. See what I mean?"

More laughter. "Well, at least you have not disappointed in your dress." An admiring glance.

She smooths down cloth at her skirt, enjoying the feel of the fine material.

"I'm, I'm really glad you like it". "Thank you."

Jack reaches out, brushing fingertips against the fabric of the skirt over her hip. "More than welcome."

She feels the touch of his fingers though the fabric. Feather light and gentle - swiftly gone. It was not something she expected, and she can feel her cheeks becoming warm - she knows she's blushing again.

She looks up, smiling into his eyes.

"Are you thirsty Jack? Would you like something to drink?"

"A drink would be wonderful, I think." Returning her smile, he offers his arm "Shall we?"

"We shall" She gently places her hand upon his arm, and looks around for the bar or the kitchen. "I think it's over there to your right, perhaps through that doorway?"

"Sounds feasible" He pats her hand a moment and then begins in the direction she suggested, looking around curiously at the decor and layout of the house.

She smiles and nods, talking to one person, then another and introducing Jack as her friend while they make their way through the crowd. They finally arrive at a counter filled with refreshments and drinks of all types. She looked over the various color drinks and mixers then turned to her companion.

"Jack, why is it, we always end up together at the bar?"
