Jason finishes moving the couch out of the way and steps back. The food is ready, the bar is cleared for the people bringing alcohol and the 'No Violence' wards are in place. He nods and then opens the door, propping it open with a large red rock that vaguely resembles two people fucking.

"Why did you do that?" Nathaniel asks, his voice low, but rough.

Jason turns to him and grins. "Do you want to spend all night answering the door?"

Nathaniel shakes his head, his long braid waving slightly. "No. I'm going to stay right here, out of the way."

Jason walks over and gives Nathaniel a quick hug. "Promise me you'll at least try to stay in human form for the night?"

Nathaniel nods, goes back to reading the book in his hands. Jason just shakes his head and goes to the kitchen to get a drink.

((Party's on. Come on in, the door is open. Same wards that are on Greg's apartment.))

It's really big, and shiny. I like it. There are so many interesting buildings and places and people...*big, excited, happy-puppy-grin*

Do you like it? And what else should I go see in it?

{{How you type in character -- you "sound" / read like how I'd picture movie-spidey actually would talk.}}

Yeah, it's big and shiny alright. Especially from certain angles. I like it a lot. My family and friends are there, I could never leave them.

Have you seen Lady Liberty yet? She's one of the most beautiful girls I know. Rockefeller center is real nice in winter too.

((Hey! Thanks a lot. I try my best with all my characters))

You are just such a button! This is too weird.

No, I haven't gone there yet. I had a hot-dog. That was New York-ish. *nods*

If you ever make it to Greece just toss a dime at the crossroads and I'll give you the ten cent tour.

I'm a button?

*looks at the buttons on his shirt, confused*

Ahh yes, New York hot dogs... interesting aren't they? I try to stay away from them, they give me gas. Pizza on the other hand.. out of this world.

I'd love to go to Greece someday.

Button, it means you're sweet and innocent. Term of endearment and all that jazz.

Interesting, the red'n'blue gent suggested I try the hotdogs. *nods* I go for pizza next time.

I love Greece. It is home, you know.

Oh. Well consider me buttoned then.

You won't regret the pizza, definitely.

I had a feeling, the name sounded a bit greek, but you can't be too sure nowadays with the waves of Kaydens and Brittneys and Hunters and such.

*chuckles*

Sweetie, you know how all different sorts of people and critters frequent these parts? Well...I fall into the non-human category. Into a more 'Greek Deity' category. Cute little winged hat and shoes ring a bell?

Yeah of course! I get FTD to deliver flowers to Aunt May all the time on her birthday.

I'll uh, keep my eyes open.

Yes, from Star Wars.

It's in love with Namor. But then, you don't know who Namor is, do you?

Uh, no.

The thought of the death star being able to feel love.. boggles me.

*laughs* Nice try.

...and just briefly, on a more serious note. There are a few folks that frequent the nexus that you might have passing acquaintance with -- just try to remember that odds are they're not your versions.

Not to mention some that know alternate me's and want to kill me.

I met someone named Venom today. I've never seen the guy.... thing.

*nods* There are a few other 'yous', a Harry Osborn, a Norman Osborn, two Doc Ocks, and a lady Doc Ock as well.

But Norman Osborn... MY Norman Osborn.. is dead. So is Doctor Octavius.

A lady Doc Ock?

Okay, this is a little depressing. This is supposed to be a party.

The Ocks (well, the married set at any rate) are fine, and Norman's an issue that I am throughly underqualified, overqualified, and really the wrong person to ask for an unbiased opinion.

Still, this place and in most of the nexus there are safety wards. No one can hurt you without your consent.

...and in case you frequent the places that don't have wards, just call out for me and I'll come a-runnin'. Here's my card. (http://www.livejournal.com/~mercurialnature)

It's interesting, and if you're any good it usually a long-term thing. I mean, I love my work. It's what I am. Literally. *shrugs* If I may be so bold, I do a pretty good job of being an anthropomorphized pile of rocks, or an Ionian corruption of the early Minoan bird epiphany god -- every author has a different theory....and I'm not telling the real answer.

What's it like being you?

What's it like being me? Wow. Tough question. Since you already know my secret though, much easier to answer.

Some days it's great. Seeing the city like only the birds get to, absolute freedom. When I get to see M.J. it's great too. Then there are days when homocidal jackasses are trying to break you down. Those.. not so hot.

I can understand where you're coming from. --*gets a rather silly dreamy smile*-- I love flying.

*pauses, tilts his head, and listens* If you'll excuse me a moment...something's come up and I have to go. Sorry.
