Jason quickly showers, occasionally giving the side of the tub light kicks. He hates these plastic things, makes a mental note to have the tub at the new place a huge, black marble whirlpool. And a shower with river rock walls. He steps out, grabbing a towel to dry his hair and walks toward the kitchen. The house is quiet, for once, and he's enjoying it for a while. He pulls open the fridge and stares inside, trying to figure out what he wants.

Quiet. Serious. Eyes staring not at Jason but through him.

Doesn't take his eyes from Gabriel and nods.

"Anything."

"Despite everything we share. All of it. You wouldn't put your love for me above being my second, would you?"

Quiet, subdued, thoughts whirling.

Eyes wide, a worried look in them. He squeezes Gabriel's hand and looks away. His voice very, very quiet.

"Yes."

"Good."

Falling silent a long moment before clearing his throat.

"You're my mate now. Soon to be my husband. And my second. Despite the wolves, this is a pard and... I want to know if, officially, you would be my Nimir Ra. I.. I want to... I need to do things right. Pard. Tight. Ready. And... And I'm fucking this up."

His eyes snap back to Gabriel's, biting his lip.

"Yes. And you're not fucking it up."

Sits up and turns, practically crawling into Gabriel's lap as he kisses him.

Blinking, grinning madly as his lover is suddenly in his arms, the taste of him on his lips. Moaning, curling his arms tightly around his mate, purring loudly.

Echoes Gabriel's moan, pressing closer when he starts to purr. Finally pulls away, licking his lips, grinning.

"So, what brought that on? Not that I'm not supremely happy at the moment, but ...hell, that was a surprise."

Leaning in as Jason pulls back, kissing him hard, demanding once more before chuckling.

"What? YOu think I've been off hurting myself the last few days? Been thinkin. About how I want my life to be. And in the end? Mate or not? You deserve the position. Hell, you are as much alpha if not more so than I am."

Sighs, relaxing against Gabriel, kissing his neck.

"'m so not an alpha. Don't care if I'm not an alpha, just want to be yours."

Kissing him tenderly, lips trailing up to his ear, nibbling lightly.

"Nothing ever changes that."

Growls low, his fingers digging into Gabriel's shoulders.

"Missed you."

Sighing, smiling huge at that.

"God, missed you so much. Just... Put you through enough. Needed to work through that shit on my own. Sorry I didn't say more."

Sits back, staring at Gabriel.

"I know, just next time... tell me."

Smiles, shaking his head.

"You scared the shit out of me."

Wincing, a sudden look of contrite pain on his face.

"Oh, pup. I'm sorry. Seriously. I'm so sorry.'

HUgging him tight, kissing him.

"I was afraid if I did? You would want to go with. Or worse, I wouldn't be able to leave you."

Shakes his head.

"If you had said that you needed time alone, I wouldn't have said anything."

Smiles sadly, resting his head on Gabriel's shoulder.

"Next time, leave a note before you take off."

Eyes closing, fighting tears as he realized how much his disappearing act had hurt his mate and best friend.

"I'm sorry, baby. So sorry. Promise. I will. Promise.'

Kissing the top of his head, snuggling Jason close.

Nods, nuzzling at Gabriel's throat.

"Good. 'cause next time you take off without telling me, I'm chaining you to the bed."

Grins, biting at Gabriel's neck.

"No, because you'll be the only one in the bed."

Whimpering, falling over backwards, belly up.

"No sir! I'll behave. I promise!'

Mewling, batting playfully at Jason's hair.

Just stares down at Gabriel for a second, then starts laughing, laying down on his lover.

Grinning, gathering Jason to him.

"Mmm, love you so much. My pretty pup.'

Nuzzling at Jason's cheek, cuddling.

"And be glad. I almost called you Daddy."
