Standing behind Jason, almost hiding behind him.

"Uhmm, tell me.. Are those the pots and pans down by the lake? And yeah. I told Jase we'd come home. And if we don't.. well, the thought of telling Adam that Em is pregnant before Emma? Not my idea of fun."

Sighs and takes Gabriel's hand, walking towards the house.

"Hell, telling Emma that Em is pregnant before her would be worse."

Opens the door and steps to the side, watching as a small child falls at Gabriel's feet.

"What the?"

From:

Smiling, fingers tight around his husband's.

"Uhmm, I'm pretty sure we didn't order a child. I would have remembered this."

From:

Gaby looks up at Gabriel, tears in her eyes. She grabs at his leg, trying to pull herself up.

"No. Nononononono.' Trying to deny it even as he stoops down, scooping her into his arms. "Shhhh. It's okay, little one. No tears now.'

Bouncing her lightly, eyes closing.

Smiles, trying not to laugh as the child calms down.

"Should I start calling you daddy now?"

From:

Glaring at Jason over the baby's head.

"Who's is it? I know we weren't gone that long. And Jase didn't mention it on the phone."

Lil walks into the room, and pauses.

"Yeah, he did. He told you I brought home a kid. That's Gabriella."

She pauses for a second, then looks hopeful.

"Want her?"

Jason takes the baby from Gabe and starts to walk towards the couch when she starts screaming. He turns and quickly hands her back to Gabe, smirking when she quiets down.

Sighing as Jason take the girl, turning toward Lil.

"He mentioned kid. Not infant. Not... Who's...' Looking up as she began to cry, concern on her face. "Jason, you should.... Apparently hand her to me.'

Shaking his head as she calms.

"I just got married, I wasn't planning on a kid alre...'

Blancing, eyes going wide as he realizes what he said.

"She's my sister, and look! She likes you."

Lil grins, playing up his slip.

"Neither are Jaydyn and I, and she doesn't want to be around us. And I'm not very good with kids anyway. Plus, we don't know if we can change Jaydyn back into a guy yet and..."

Lil pouts, trying the sad puppy look.

"Please? I don't know what else to do with her."

"And I'm ready for a kid? I can't keep the pard in line. And this... This isn't the place to raise a child. What with me and Jason doing it on the counters and Zane and Leela and...'

Sighing, looking down at the baby in his arms.

"And this isn't fair, Lil. Not without letting me and Jason talk about it."

She nods, grabbing the diaper bag from the floor.

"You're right, it's not fair of me. She's my problem. We're going to go to Jaydyn's, maybe she'll play with Toby."

She reaches for the baby, sighing when she starts screaming again.

"Dammit, Lil.'

Hissing out the words, glaring at her.

"I asked for warning, not for you to go all fu... Freaking attitude on me. You bring a child to me, ask me to keep her. I just walked in the door. I know that Leela's been a kid, Jaydyn's a girl, and Em and Jase are fighting not to go all sexual on one another. Just a bit of shock here. And I would not say yes without talking to Jason."

"I didn't get any warning either. I didn't even know she existed until yesterday morning."

She bounces the baby a bit, trying to quiet her.

"All I know is that I got called home because the slut's boyfriend killed her, find out that I have a sister and come home to find out my fiance is now a girl. At least you got a vacation."

She stares at the floor, ignoring the screaming baby.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have had an attitude with you. We'll get out of your hair for the night."

Even before she's finished speaking, he's sweeping the baby from her arms.

"Get Jaydyn back to the right chromosome and we'll worry about it then. Okay?'

Putting her on his hip, bouncing her gently.

"One problem at a time. Boyfriend back to boy and then we'll worry about the baby. If push comes to shove, I'll make Em pay her rent by babysitting."

Lil nods, setting the diaper bag down on the floor.

"I'm going to go find Jaydyn. Um, Jase and Em took off when the screaming got to be too much."

She smiles guiltily and slips out the door.

Sighing, dropping down carefully onto the sofa, eyes closed. Cradling the baby to him, lightly stroking her back.

"You don't understand this, Gaby, but your Mommy? So going to get her butt kicked. Mean it.'

Just sits at the end of the couch, watching the two of them and smiling.

"Sister."

From:

"Whatever.'

Shaking his head, nestling her closer to his side.

"I don't have siblings. That concept is more foreign to me than why this child likes me. I'm sorry, baby. Not... Not how I saw this night going. Or our life or... Sorry."

"Because you're you. You're safety, all of us get that from you."

Moves over, cuddling against Gabe's other side.

"We knew it wasn't going to be a quiet night, it never is when we first get back from being away."

Carefully reaches over, running his fingers over the girl's hair.

"We don't have to say yes, don't have to keep her. We could find her a home."

Eyes closing, free arm closing around his husband.

"It just gets more and more insane every time we go. No matter what we do it just gets worse.'

Nuzzling at Jason's temple, kissing gently. 'What do you want?"

Eyes the now sleeping child, speaking quietly.

"I want you happy. And you know me, I'd take her in a heartbeat."

Turns his head, kissing Gabriel softly.

"Do what makes -you- happy."

From:

"I did. It was called saying I do to you.'

Smiling then, snuggling closer, stealing another kiss.

"I don't... Jason...'

Sighing, eyes closing as he rested his forehead against Jason's.

"Not more than two months ago, I was a cold blood killer. I did snuff films and tormented everyone I could get my hands on. Now? I have a husband and a loving pard. Good friends, great loves, a family, a life, a home. None of that I thought I ever would. Nor...'

Shaking his head, skin rubbing against skin.

"Now a kid is added to that. A true family. With my husband. I... I'm not sure how to handle any of it. Not a child. Not caring that Jase not destroy Em. Or that Jaydyn ends up male and married to Lil. Or that Leela gets this shit straightened out. I'm.... I don't get it. Why me? Why does everyone trust me?"
