It was still cold and snowy, but that didn't stop the pard from playing in the drifts out back. Jason was glad they had covered the pool before it snowed, he wasn't up to fishing anyone out of ice cold water.

Curled up in front of the fire, he watches a movie with Ella, wrapped up in a fuzzy blanket.

Slipping down from his room, blanket in hand, Ray curled up quietly at Jason's feet, looking tired as was his norm now.

He eyed the snow and shuddered slightly then turned his attention to the TV.

He kicks Ray lightly, getting his attention.

"Hey, get up here."

"Ow." Ray blinks up at him then crawls up, settling his blanket firmly over Ella and himself as he curls in. "That hurt. But not really."

"I'm sorry." Jason leans over, kissing Ray's shoulder. "Is that better?"

He smiles and nuzzles Jason's chin before settling his head on the older man's shoulder. "Much, Jason. Thank you."

"So, why haven't you gotten bundled up in all that stuff we bought you and went to shove Zane's face in the snow?"

"It's cold out there." Ray winced. "And the wet stuff seeps into your clothes!"

"It's called snow, Ray. It happens every winter here." He grins, shaking his head. "You're going to have to get used to it."

"Can you watch Ella tonight?"

"Sure. I'll get used to it. Inside by the fire." He grins back slightly then cocks his head, curiously.

"I can watch Ella. Where's everybody else going to be?"

Jason shrugs, cuddling Ella closer. "Around, probably. I'm asking you though."

He pauss, looking a little confused, then nods. "Sure. She can help me feed my snake and then we'll read or something and go to bed."

He leans forward to tickle at Ella's stomach lightly. "Sound like a plan?"

Laughs a bit, shifting the girl over to Ray. "Don't let Gabe know about the snake feeding, okay?"

"What, it's not like I'm going to feed her to it." He cuddles Ella close, wrapping his blanket around them both and grinning down at her. "But you'd make a great snake snack, wouldn't you?"

Jason flicks Ray's nose and kisses Ella on the head as he gets up. "Don't say that. He'll hear you."

Grinning, he tucks the blanket around them. "I'm going to go monopolize my husband. Anyone asks, we were kidnapped by aliens."
