Jason wakes slowly, the small hand smacking his face and the tiny 'Da' being what wakes him. He blinks wearily at Ella then shifts on the bed, tossing the pillow he had been hugging to the floor so she can curl up beside him. He closes his eyes and cuddles her close, trying to remember when Gabe had gotten up, or even when Gabe had brought him inside.

It doesn't take long before both are asleep.
