Full Moon: At Gabriel's House

He lays curled up in a tight ball on the rug, head tucked under his tail. Some tiny part of him KNOWS that the others are nearby, but the rest of his mind and body are trapped in his memories. Memories of the nightmares Raina has been sending him, only much more real.

The constant shaking is accompanied by whimpers and the occasional long high pitched whine. A pained howl echoes through the house several times.

"And tell me again how sacrificing yourself will keep the pard safe?" She looks at him, then looks away, forcing herself, fighting with herself not to go to him.

Suddenly drained, tired. "I'm not going t0 go there tonight, ok Gabriel? We can attach this to the end of the conversation we are going to have tomorrow."

"Nate took first watch on him, I did the second. Are you going to keep third watch over Jason? I'm tired, and I hurt, and I .. I miss my boyfriend". Her voice cracked. "Have I your leave to go, Pard Leader?"

Lil and Scud finally come into the house, the adrenaline rush and the approaching dawn finally wearing them out. They greet Leela and find separate spots to curl up and fall asleep, close to Gabriel and Jason, but out of the way.

Moving to nearly cuddle Jason, holding himself just far enough apart to allow the wolf space to bolt, to pull away further.

"We... that conversation is at yer discretion. And course you have my leave. Toldcha you didn't have to be here. But if yer leavin' us over this, I think I should know as soon as possible. I do consider ya the pard advisor, my advisor and I will need yer help."

"Leaving tonight has nothing to do with you and everything to do with Ether."

"I .. I think I love him. And I haven't been very good to him. He's kinda taken a back seat in all this and he's kept quiet and stayed supportive. You can't ask for better, really".

She looked him in the eye, gravely. "And if I choose to leave the pard, it won't be because of tonight either, Gabriel. There are other, distinctive reasons involved. Personal reasons, but reasons nonetheless."

Silent a moment before calling softly.

"I hope he's everything you deserve Leela. Because there is just so much you should have."
