The new house

The move had gone smooth and quick, Jase having the brilliant idea of pinpointing everything room by room. That meant no packing, just a lot of rearranging. And this would be the last time they would do it, especially with the way Em was bouncing around, running back and forth between the main house and the Trio's little one.

Jason had set up one of the hammocks away from the houses, in a small clearing. Out of sight of the house, but close enough that they would hear it if there was trouble. Laying there, his eyes closed as he enjoys the peace and quiet, the absolute purity of this land.

He would definately be lighting some candles for Anna tonight.

"I... I just...." Sobbing, trying to catch his breath. "All I've ever wanted is to do right by you, Jason. To make you happy and to make everything that I, and Raina and everyone else put you through. All I want. And I fail."

Wrapping his arms around himself, suddenly feeling cold and scared.

"You do make me happy, Gabe. Yeah, we have our bad moments, but everyone does, but you make me happy. More than anyone else."

"Is it enough?' Asked so softly even as he twists, falling with all the agility of his breed, landing on toes and fingertips. Barely taking a breath, pulling Jason to him. Hard. Crushing.

"Am I enough, pup?"

Nodding as he leans against Gabe, clinging to him. "Always."

Nuzzling at Jaosn's throat, whimpering softly.

"I'm so scared, Jason. So scared I don't even know how to handle it some days."

Forgetting everything but those words as he tightens his hold on Gabe, nuzzling his mate's hair.

"Tell me, let me help? Please?"

"You have so much. Dealing with everything. You're the true alpha, Jason, even if I'm the only one that sees it. Without you, I'd have killed them all by now. I wouldn't even have them.' Whimpering the words, kissing Jason's cheek, his jaw, his chin.

"I'm not an alpha, I'm just really good at taking care of people." Sighs, fingers twining in Gabe's hair. "Love you." Whispering the words as he kisses Gabe.

"I love you." Words murmured against Jason's lips, clinging to the one thing in the world he needed more than anything else. "I need you, Jason. More than I can ever show you. Please, know I'm trying."

Nodding slightly, fingers tightening briefly around dark hair. "I know." Moving slowly, he stretches out on the ground, pulling Gabe with him. Curls against Gabe, tracing the markings on the collar they they managed not to lose hold of.

"I don't think either one of us is ready for this, no matter how much we want it."

Snuggling close, eyes closing once more.

"All I want to do is give you everything you want. All I want is for you to be happy. You asked for this and it's within my power to give it to you. I just want...' Sighing, shaking his head. "Just want thingsto be right."

Closes his eyes, nuzzling against Gabe's chest.

"Then we wait. We put it up and wait until things are right."

Wraps his arms around Jason, protective, possessive, needy.

"What is it never is?"

"It will be, one day it will be right." His voice sure, convinced, refusing to believe otherwise.

"Mmm, my sweet, wonderful pup.' Smiling as he leans back, cradling Jason's face in his hands and kissing him. 'Couldn't do any of this, couldn't be alpha, without you."
