Sitting on the steps, tugging at the sleeves of his shirt, Jason waits.

He'd made the reservations a week ago, at a very nice restaurant in Paris. Third floor private balcony, overlooking the Seine with a great view of the Eiffel Tower.

Yeah, stupid and sappy and romantic. Hopefully Gabe wouldn't think he was stupid for it.

He fiddles with the pinpoint, watching down the hall for his husband.

"Yo tengo un botela de agua." Letting the spanish roll off his tongue, grinning. "I did pick up a bit from 'Introduction to Spanish' before I transferred to a lab class."

Watches Gabe, his eyes soft, not looking away when the menus are brought. "Ask me after our walk, okay?"

Taking his menu with his free hand, Gabriel smiles.

"I will certainly do that, Mister Schuyler."

Rolling his eyes, Jason refrains from sticking his tongue out at Gabe. He glances over the menu and quickly orders for himself.

Looking out the windows, he watches the lights start to come on around the city, the sky quickly growing dark.

Ordering, his eyes on nothing but Jason as they wait. The wine poured, the meal served. And still Gabe watches his husband.

"YOu ever think about us as little old men, still in love and doing the shit we do now? NOT the sex! Like the tanks and the cars and all of that."

"Yes. I think we'll spend the last days of our lives doing what we love. Spending time with each other, the pard, Ella. Being together, doing what we love. Like giving out the tanks and the cars and all of that."

Grinning, he leans over the table and kisses Gabe. "Including the sex."

Grinning at that, kissing Jason more than happily.

"Just... don't blame me for your broken hip, alright?"

Finding himself amused by that, taking Jason's hand once more, thumb rolling over the wedding band there.

"Love you, Jason."

"No blame for you." Smiling, nodding. "Love you too, Gabe."

Pulling away, he looks over the food and grins. "This better be worth what I'm paying for it."

"Oh? You're paying?" Nibbling at his food but, oddly enough, he seems nervous. "So next date is one me?"

Grinning at that, pausing to sip his wine. "So what happens if you learn you don't like dating me?"

"Yes, and if you want." He takes a bite of his chicken and moans quietly. "This is good."

Looking up, he smiles. "Considering I married you not long after the last date we had, I don't think you have anything to worry about."

"hey. Never know. I mean being married to me is one thing. Dating is a whole nother ball of wax.' Smiling though, eyes bright with love and adoration.

"Sometimes? I wish we'd been on better terms when I arrived. Could have done this instead of going straight to bed together."

"Oh no, we won't like the same movies! Our lives together are doomed!"

Snickering as he reaches for a glass, then takes a sip. Pauses, staring at Gabe. "I needed it, needed you. The only difference better terms would have made is that I wouldn't have let you leave the next morning."

Gabe is silent a long time but there is a distant look in his eyes. Staring off into space, even as he talks as if he were truly seeing that other time and not the present.

"I'd wanted you a while. I mean, the Schuyler back in my world. He was Jean-Claude's pomme de sang so he was off limits to me. I know a lot of it was that but, you have this vitality that shows in every world you're in. It's this energy that just attracts like a moth to a brilliant and beautiful flame."

Slowly seeming to focus, looking at Jason. "I was in lust with the ideal of you before I came to the Nexus. But in a moment I feel in lust with you. In days in love. I didn't want to leave. Didn't want to do anything but curl up, bury my face into your hair and hold you forever. Thank you for giving me that. It's the one dream I've ever had that's come true. The best one."

He carefully sets down the glass and picks up a roll, shredding it slowly to hide the shaking of his hands.

"You're welcome. Thank you for staying, for giving me a reason to believe in love again."

Looking up at Gabe, his eyes a bit teary. "I know I didn't love her, wanted to but I didn't. I couldn't. You changed that."

Reaching over, he takes both of Jason's hands in his. Silent, staring at his mate, his lover, his love, his world with eyes that gleamed in the low light. Tears.

"I love you, Jason. You. You are my heart, pup. My very soul."

He carefully leans over the small table and kisses Gabe, squeezing his husband's hands.

"Love you too. More than anything."

Sitting back, not letting go of Gabe's hands. "I must love you. I can't imagine wearing three rings on a date with anyone else."

Enjoying the kiss, not even thinking of releasing Jason's hands.

"Three? I only bought you... oh. OH!'

Swallowing hard against the lump in his throat, shifting as his trousers were suddenly tight.

"Bitch."

Smiles, looking innocent as he pulls his hands away, going back to his dinner. "So, I was thinking about a long walk around the Tower? Maybe take in a late show after dinner."

He takes a bite and closes his eyes, enjoying the food. "Mmmm."

There was food? And more to the date than taking Jason over this table? Wait? What? Since when?

Wanting to cry foul, that the pup was cheating. Instead whimpering and turning his attention to his meal, stabbing at the asparagas with aggressive need.

Jason watches Gabe through the meal, smiling the whole time. He finally takes pity on his mate and pushes his plate away. "Dessert?"

"Unless you're serving you, on a silver platter, drizzled in brandy and dusted with confectioner sugar? Nope, not interested."

He closes his eyes and laughs a bit, shaking his head. "I'll remember that for next time though."

He looks up at Gabe and nods toward the door. "Come on, lets get out of this place."

Rising, he donned the long trench as it was brought and offered his arm once more to Jason.

"I am yours to command, Dearheart."

Swallows hard when he takes in Gabe again, then grabs his mate's hand and hold it tight as they head down the stairs.

"Don't tempt me. I might do something bad."

Once outside, he cuddles into Gabe's coat while waiting for a cab. "I love this suit."

Oh yes, he's grinning. Look proud and sexy and glad he hadn't burned this one like the others. Bending his head, he nuzzles at the top of Jason's head.

" Mean it, baby. Yours. Tonight I'm yours. As you wish."

His smirk is hidden against Gabe's neck, his voice quiet when he speaks.

"Anything I want? So if I say you can't touch me until we get home, no matter what I do...."
