He'd packed a small bag, just a change of clothes and his shaving bag, and left it sitting on the couch while he went looking for Gabe. He couldn't put it off any longer, not after last night, and the girls had already agreed to stay over.

Lil had even threatened to call Jasia. Jason wasn't sure why that thought worried him. Why should he be worried about Lil, Carrie and Jasia locked in a room with Gabe all night?

Rethinking that question, Jason makes a note to check the insurance policy before leaving for the night.

"It's what I do best,' he murmurs, eyes closing. "Other than fuck you senseless."

"There's other things you do best." The smile returns, he can't help it. "Like loving me and Ella. Reining in Lil. Teasing Carrie." He pokes Gabe in the chest, making his point. "Loving us."

"Teasing Carrie isn't that hard. And I don't rein in Lil. Speaking of, anyone told Ray about his car yet?" Snickering at that idea. "You know, I really am cursed when it comes to cars."

"Nooooooooooo. I figured if Scud couldn't fix it we'd send it to the dealer."

"So we're not going to tell him? Has anyone told Scud?"

Jason looks at Gabe and blinks. "I'm crazy, not stupid." He chuckles and shakes his head. "In other words, no, Scud has not been told how the Hummer was damaged. I'm sure he's found it by now."

"oh. Yep, avoiding him unless I have the knife." Pausing at that, a frown crossing his lips. "If he stills wants me like this."

"Chicken." Frowning as well, Jason shakes his head. "Scud won't care about that. Well, he might get off on it, but otherwise, he won't care."

"You don't know that. You remember how he was at first. So skeptical and then how long after the first shift before he and I really touched again?"

He shrugs, trying to smile a bit. "I'm the eternal optimist where he's concerned."

"I'm a clinging bastard that takes the distance to mean he's keeping it that way.' Sighing, eyes closing as he hugs Jason tight.

Biting his lip, Jason watches Gabe sadly. "You've always got me, I promise."

Gabe leans up a little, kissing Jason soundly. "And that's all I need, baby. I just always long for more. Nature of the beast,' he offers lamely.

"You are mine,' he notes, kissing Jason.

"Yes, I am." He murmurs the words against Gabe's lips, a smile forming. He reaches up, running his fingers over the gold collar around his neck. "I'll never be anyone else's."

"No, you won't,' Gabe whispers. "I will kill them.' Stated softly and deadly serious.

Jason chuckles, kissing Gabe. "You know, I'm sure there's thousands of people who would say that I should run away when you say that. That I'm crazy for loving it when you do."

"I would never hurt you,' he assures his mate. "But any that might try and take you from me? I will have no qualm."

Smiles at first, then fakes a pout. "Does this mean no more fun with the knife collection?"

"I didn't say that.' He pauses. "Or you taking that I came with my own weapons now?"

Starts to stick his tongue out at Gabe, but stops and grins, then licks Gabe's cheek. "I was making a joke that flopped worse than a half dead fish. And I like the fangs."

Shivering at the lick, Gabe blinks, giving a start. "You do?"

Leaning up, he kisses Gabe, letting his lower lip catch on one fang. Moans, a shiver running through him, then looks down at Gabe. "Yes, I do."

Shivering, eyes rolling back in his head as he feels that resistance. "You drive me insane, Jason."
